News Vizor - Open source project

Great news! We participate in Knight news challenge!

Here is our project proposal News Vizor project

   "Nowadays a lot of people have smart phones which are capable to make video or photo shots with enough quality. On the other hand 3G networks allow delivering such content quickly and easy to other people on the P2P basis.
The main goal of the project is to allow those people become newsmakers and send this content directly to a news site."

Apache2 XSLT Filter - Open source project

   XSLT Filter is an Apache2 loadable module which performs XSL transformation on the fly. It uses LibXML2+LibXSLT as parsing and transformation engines. The module acts as an Apache2 output fitler and is compatible with mod_perl, CGI and PHP applications.

Keywords search engine

   "The 3FN Keywords database consists of 89,000,000 (89 million) keywords, Google search with the detailed information related to each keyword including the estimations of popularity, competition, and keyword cost."

For this project we developed:

  • Frontend engine based on Apache2, mod_perl, XML/XSLT engine
  • Search engine based on Sphinx
  • Accounting engine based on Perl5 and mod_perl

    • Plesk add-ons and patches

       "SWsoft Plesk is a comprehensive control panel solution used by leading hosting providers worldwide for shared, virtual and dedicated hosting. The control panel is designed to simplify the management and administration of web sites. Plesk control panel automates a large number of tasks that allow service providers to reduce operating costs and resources while at the same time increasing profitability, efficiency and customer satisfaction."

    That's true, Plesk is widely used by modern hosting proviedrs, but some of them require integration of Plesk in their billings and/or traffic accounting systems.
    We do it:

  • Combine Plesk with mod_watch
  • Accounting engine based on Perl and MySQL
  • Automatic creation of new account
  • Tweaking of interface and functionality

    • Files Dump

    For this project we developed:

  • File serving engine which manages concurent downloads, connection rates and speeds
